Giraff/giraffe

Jag har varit dålig på att uppdatera här i bloggen senaste tiden. Förlåt. Fast jag vet inte om det är så många som läser här ändå.

Nu har jag i alla fall virkat en giraff!

Det var en vän på jobbet som skickade en bild på fyra söta, virkade giraffer och antydde att hon ville ha en. Eftersom hon nyligen halkat på jobbet och gått sönder, tyckte jag att hon kunde behöva lite uppmuntran. Så jag frågade "vilken färg?". Jag är inte helt säker på att det blev rätt färger, men jag tog de bästa jag kunde hitta. Det ena garnet var 50 % bambu och 50 % bomull, och det andra 50 % acryl och 50 % bomull. Båda Tilda från Svarta Fåret. Och jag virkade förstås på frihand, eftersom jag tycker det är oerhört tråkigt att följa mönster när det inte behövs, men jag försökte göra giraffen så lik de på bilden som möjligt. Jag är inte säker på om de hade svans, men det fick den här. Och näsborrar, så att den kan andas.

Anyhow, I made a giraffe!

It started when a friend at work sent me a picture of four cute, crocheted giraffes and indicated that she wanted one. As she had recently fallen and got hurt at work, I think she needed som encouragement. So I asked "which color?". I'm not sure the colors became entirely as she wanted, but I took the best ones I could find. One yarn is 50 % bamboo and 50 % cotton, the other one is 50 % acrylic and 50 % cotton. And they're both Tilda from Svarta Fåret. Of course I freehanded this giraffe, because I think it's really boring to follow patterns when it's not necessary, but I tried to make it look as much as possible like the ones in the picture. I'm not sure if they had tails, but this one does. And nostrils, so it can breathe.

Giraffen och Doktor Katt kom väldigt väl överens. Kanske kände de en viss samhörighet på grund av sina prickar?

The giraffe and Doctor Cat got along very well. Maybe they felt some connection through their spots?
